Brilliant White Rhodium

## Product Description

RHODUNA® J1 produces a brilliant white decorative finish with good throwing power and low porosity. It can be deposited directly on silver, gold, copper and copper alloys, as well as nickel and nickel alloys.

- Crack-free coatings in the 0.1–0.3 µm range
- Suitable for rack and barrel plating
- Good deposition rate and throwing power

Applications: Jewellery, watches and spectacle frames.

## Technical Specifications

- Electrolyte type: Strongly acidic

- Rhodium content: 2 (1.6–2.4) g/L Rh

- pH: < 1

- Operating temperature: 35 °C (20–40 °C)

- Current density: 1 A/dm²

- Deposition rate: 0.025 µm/min at 1 A/dm²

- Deposit purity: 99.99% Rh

- Colour and brightness: Brilliant white

- Hardness: Approx. 800–900 HV

- Maximum thickness: Approx. 0.3 µm

- Anode: Pt/Ti or MMO · PLATINODE® 187
